About

A family dental practice established in 1962 by Dr. Joe Hakala and now managed by his daughter, Dr. Kate Hakala, who provides dentistry for patients of all ages. Dr. Kate graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine with a BS in Dental Hygiene in 1982, and with a DDS, Cum Laude in 1989. She served on the Colorado State Dental Board for 6 years and has been a part-time instructor at her Alma Mater, CU. She and her team have done volunteer dentistry in Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico. Dr. Kate and her husband have 2 grown children and enjoy hosting exchange students from around the world. They also have a feisty husky and a bossy cat.
