Oral and maxillofacial surgery is the only hospital based surgically trained specialty of Dentistry. The residency training is 4-6 years in length, with extensive emphasis on general anesthesia and management of patients with an array of medical problems. As Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, with 50+ years of combined experience and expertise, Dr. Larry R. Stewart and Dr. Wayne A. Michael manage a wide variety of conditions relating to the mouth, teeth, jaws and facial regions. Drs. Stewart and Michael practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures.
